Blog Post 001 – Character Introductions

I have been working a lot on my Avery, the main character in The Black Rot series along with his love interests Lucian. I had this curious idea about making them into cat boys? Would that be something that turns possible readers away? I guess what I do already is pretty niche so why not go deeper down that rabbit hole? Anyways, I wanted to introduce my characters in this post.

Lucian Crowe| Age - Unknown| Skill set - Magic (Necromancy)

Backstory - Lucian fought in a war from the past and was cursed by a wizard for slaying said wizards brother. With the wizard now gone from time and age, Lucian is cursed to walk the earth wielding his undead magic. To keep himself looking around the age of 30 or so he leaches from the world around him, stealing its life force for his own. What is this characters goal? - Romance/earn the trust of Avery. Teach Avery how to control his abilities as a necromancer, and to hunt down and kill Theron Mane. To kill him for what he had cursed him with. His Sword is called Altair

Avery Hawthorne| Age 26| Skill Set - Magic (Necromancy/Healing) and swordsmanship

Avery is being chased down by a pack of wolves when his inner abilities awaken and he somehow manages to use his necromancy abilities. This also triggers the affliction known as The Black Rot. This is typically only affected by those who wield death magic such as necromancy, its to try and balance out what they are doing. As time passes, The Black Rot slowly takes over Avery’s body, starting from his shoulder and back. Creeping its way up his arm and along his back side. He watches as this painful black rot destroys the arm he casts with. This characters goal - To figure out how he attained his powers and how to control it. His sword is called Lunaris.

Theron Mane| Age Unknown| Skillset - Necromancy

Theron is an old wizard that has mastered the craft of necromancy to stave off death for himself. He originally got into necromancy magic to help himself learn more about it medically. thinking that if he could master the arcane side, he could then take those skills and help others with their illnesses. This was not the case as he grew deeper and fonder of the dark aether, a dark plain of existence. He spiraled when he learned of his brother who was killed in battle by a man named Lucian, the very man he once called a friend. He then sought him out and cursed him with necromancy magic. Causing him to live a life of loneliness and anguish as he roamed the earth in his immortal form. This characters goals - To kill Avery for siding with Lucian. His only goal is to bring Lucian suffering for the murder of his brother.

Alphrasio

The wizard that created the gemstones and the weapons of Eldoria. The weapons of Eldoria are The Book of Beasts, Lunaris the Sword of the Moon, and Altair the sword of Death.

This is what I have so far, it could definitely be improved but for now to me its workable.
